Heridian Limited and CNXMEDIACOMM Co. Ltd. to conduct Telemedicine Pilot In
China.
Heridian has reached an agreement with CNXMEDIACOMM of Shanghai, China to
conduct a joint pilot project to demonstrate its i-MED Portal Technologies in
the Jiangsu Province of China.
Heridian’s innovative business concept and revolutionary approach to e-Health
services is to be installed in Jiangsu province early next year and will be
handed over to five hospitals that will put the system through its paces for the
three month trial. The pilot programme will expose the system to a patient
population of some 50,000 citizens. Specialist diagnostic and consultative
services will be provided by hospitals in Beijing, Shanghai and Nanjing. />
The objective of the pilot is to prov e the suitability of the platform to the
Chinese health sector. A successful pilot is likely to lead directly to a
provincial wide implementation giving the 76m inhabitants of the area much
improved access to healthcare, particularly those living in rural communities.
